Lauren is a seasoned exhibition professional. She understands the need for a unifying vision and assembles complimentary components and contributors in a way that leaves a lingering impression on the viewer. In the exhibition that she created for the Metropolitan Waterworks Museum, entitled Thinking About Water: Artists Reflect, the theme of climate change held together the creativity of artists working in disparate mediums, while the museum’s emphasis on water and its celebration of World Water Day gave it additional relevance. Working with Lauren was a pleasant experience because she is well-organized and able to articulate her thoughts about how to best use a particular space, based on experience and an eye for detail. Despite her warm and relaxed demeanor, she can drive a project forward, past inevitable complications and distractions, to a successful completion.

Lauren excels at inspiring others through a winning enthusiasm and infectious sharing of knowledge. During her three-year tenure as director of Truro's Highland House Museum, she forged strong alliances with the community by demonstrating the societal relevance of history, art, and culture. She curated exhibitions that spanned from Cape Cod's mid-century modern houses, to artists' depictions of climate change, and the pandemic, bringing historical and cultural significance to the community. She pioneered webinars with numerous broad-based educational programs that complimented the exhibitions. Her relationships with the descendants of Cape Cod's Indigenous people brought community awareness of their legacy. She leaves behind the vision and groundwork for successors to build on what she has achieved.

Lauren’s talents and experience brought fresh air to the Dedham Historical Society & Museum. By utilizing her research and writing skills we were able to refresh existing text panels with additional interpretation, develop new exhibitions combining art and history, and improve our social media. Lauren’s outgoing style was an asset in our community building projects including opening our galleries to welcome artists for designated “sketching days”, curating an exhibition of contemporary paintings by local artists, and expanding the school programs. Her organizational skills were essential when coordinating Dedham Storytellers, an innovative program designed to match high school students with senior citizens in order to record stories of growing up in Dedham.
