Editorial Experience

 For more than 20 years, I worked in educational publishing, developing curriculum materials for Language Arts/Reading programs and Social Studies/History textbooks. I created engaging content that offered constructive ideas for teachers while inspiring school children to love learning. By using clear, concise language to convey information and pose thought-provoking questions, I aimed to produce content that matched teachers’ educational goals while sparking students’ curiosity.

Writing and editing educational materials was a team effort, requiring collaboration among writers, editors, designers, and photo researchers. Like the process of curating a museum exhibition, producing a high-quality textbook takes numerous iterations. Each project entailed an ongoing review of the content until it met everyone’s expectations.
